# Jim Kwik - Find Your Superpower
I know I haven't measured up up to this point, but I'm going to make you proud.
measure up
: measure up to to fulfil (expectations, stadards, etc)
I felt some kind of sadness when I read this sentence because, I clearly remember what Jim Kwik said at the beginning of the speech.
What he said was,
"I wanted to make my family proud and I don't understand why I'm different from all the other kids."
After heared the sentence I mentioned first, I understood why he would have that kind of thinking.
I still look back with regret and sorrow that I didn't step up being able to do that, but I was a product, at that moment, of my conditioning.
regret
: If you regret something that you have done, you wish that you had not done it.
sorrow
: A feeling of deep sadness or regret.
The way he is saying makes me feel really sad.
The word that 'at that moment' sounds depressed when it comes to his objective voice.
A superhero for me is somebody who is on the path of discovering and developing their superpowers.
I think this sentence is the summary of this speech.
After listen to this, I thought like that all the process of living life is finding their own superpower.
I wonder what is my superpower and how I can develop it.
